Beyond compliance — preventing stress, injury and mounting costs in the workplace

Did you know that in 2019/2020 17.9 million working days were lost due to work-related stress?  Or that 828,000 workers suffered from stress, depression or anxiety during that time?  How much is sick pay, replacement staff and lost working time costing your organisation?  And what can you do about it?  Our Level 6 Certificate in Personal Injury Liability and Absence Reduction will enable you to create strategies to reduce work-related stress absence whilst introducing you to the legalities surrounding the issue – and much more besides. 

If you’re involved in occupational health, whether in the capacity of an HR professional, claims handler, or anyone else dealing with workplace health, risk or insurance, then we want to tell you about our qualification.  Whatever your exact profession – you’ll need to know what sorts of risks your workforce faces – and the law surrounding them, and you’ll want to make sure your staff and your business are protected on multiple levels.  We at NCRQ have got you covered.

Our qualification will give you all the context and awareness you need to start to make informed decisions regarding your business and staff, giving you the skills to understand the legal and financial context in which they’ll be made.  Unlike many qualifications, we use realistic scenarios and then give you the space and resources to research and apply what you’ve learned.  You’ll also have access to knowledgeable tutors with a wealth of real-life experience.

In addition to teaching you about the effect of, and how to deal with stress at work, we’ll:

  • cover the law of negligence and show you how a well-advised business would deal with, and minimise the costs of, a personal injury claim.
  • help you to understand how to assess the risks of manual handling at work, and how to gauge what measures will be helpful, realistic and proportionate in order to reduce the legal risk to the business, and the physical risk to your staff.

Finally, if you’re a budding professional in the HR or management spheres, it’s likely you have written, or been involved with writing policies and procedures that will affect the health of your staff (and protect your business).  Our qualification covers all of this and more, and many of our students achieve their certificate in less than 6 months.

If you haven’t tried any of our qualifications before, don’t worry – our modular approach means that you can undertake the first two certificates (our Level 6 Certificate in Applied Health and Safety and our Level 6 Certificate in Personal Injury Liability) in any order you like and achieve real, meaningful qualifications through them, before deciding to top it off with one more unit to achieve the full Diploma in Applied Health and Safety.
